Responsible Betting
Last updated: June 2026
HOBA Sports is built for people who enjoy sports and want sharper analysis. Betting should always be a form of entertainment, never a way to make a living or recover money you cannot afford to lose.
1. 18+ only
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use HOBA Sports. We do not knowingly serve content to minors.
2. Betting involves real financial risk
Every bet can lose. Never bet more than you can afford to lose. Do not chase losses and do not bet with money set aside for essentials like rent, food, bills or family obligations.
3. No guarantees
No prediction is guaranteed. Our content is educational and informational only. You are always the one deciding whether, when and how much to stake. Past results are not a guarantee of future results.
4. No pressure to bet
HOBA Sports does not force, push or pressure you into placing bets. If a pick does not fit your bankroll, your strategy or your mood — skip it. There is always another match.
5. Set limits and take breaks
- Set a clear weekly or monthly budget and stick to it.
- Decide a maximum stake per bet (most healthy bettors use 1–2% of bankroll per pick).
- Track your bets honestly — wins and losses.
- Take regular breaks. Step away after tilt, frustration or chasing.
- Never bet under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
6. Warning signs
If you notice any of these, please pause and ask for support:
- Betting more than planned, or hiding bets from family.
- Borrowing money to bet or to cover losses.
- Feeling anxious, depressed or angry around betting.
- Trying to win back losses with bigger bets.
- Betting interfering with work, sleep, relationships or finances.
7. Where to get help
If betting has stopped being fun, free and confidential support is available worldwide. A few well-known resources:
- BeGambleAware (UK)
- Gamblers Anonymous (international meetings)
- Gambling Therapy (multi-language support)
HOBA Sports is not affiliated with these organisations and provides their names for informational purposes only. Please use the support service most appropriate for your country.
8. Self-exclusion
Most licensed sportsbooks offer self-exclusion and deposit-limit tools. If betting is becoming a problem, use them — and consider taking a full break from betting platforms.
